  • Sam Buswell, he/him, is a contemporary dancer who’s been moving since the age of 7, inspired by his sister, who got him into tap, modern, and ballet. Later on, during school and college, he discovered breakdancing and contemporary, styles that became his way of expressing himself through movement.

He trained at Trinity Laban, graduating with a First Class Honours degree and receiving the Marion North Award for Outstanding Achievement in Performance (out of a cohort of 200 students). Since then, he’s toured across the globe, from Abu Dhabi to China, and in 2023 stepped into the role of Rehearsal Director. He’s already led rehearsals for multiple shows.

For him, dance started as a way to express emotions and connect with others, and now, through teaching and performing, it’s become a way to help others do the same.

Annabelle Hennan
Community Dance Artist

  • I’ve been dancing for as long as I can remember, growing up in a family of dancers. Both my parents are dance teachers, and my grandma was a professional dancer in the 1960’s, so dance has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been passionate about K-pop ever since I first discovered it in 2017. I would spend hours in front of the TV learning choreography from performance videos, then proudly perform for my family. Growing up, there weren’t many opportunities to share these routines, but that changed when I went to university and joined the K-pop Dance Society. In my second year, I became the society’s leader, teaching regular classes, performing at events each year, and leading our competition team to second place at the prestigious Kings of K-Pop competition in London. Between my studies, I spent a year living in South Korea, where I got to immerse myself in the culture, experience the heart of K-pop, and take classes from world-famous choreographers who work withtop idols. Now, I’m excited to share that experience with my students. My classes are all about learning amazing choreography in a supportive, fun environment where you can grow as a dancer and enjoy the music you love.
