We feel responsible for our local community and its future.

Leading by example in our journey towards becoming carbon neutral both at home and away, wherever and however we can. We strive to create a movement of positive action amongst the audiences, participants, venue partners, communities and people we work with. We know that everyone is at different stages of their environmental journey and here, we aim to capture the twists and turns of both our zero carbon adventures and those we collaborate with.

During 2022-2023 we will:

  • Ensure annual green /environmental training day for all staff & trustees

  • Recycle scenery, props and costumes into new productions or gift to charity shops and other local theatre companies

  • Ensure our Green Rider is sent to all touring venues and discussed in advanced

  • Use green and ethical suppliers, shopping locally where possible

  • Install bike racks at our Centre for Movement, encouraging cycling and walking to staff and participants

  • We aim for our Dance Artists to travel by electric vehicle to all tour dates and workshops by April 2023

  • Continue to monitor and evaluate our impact, contributing to industry benchmarking

  • Advocate for positive environmental change within our company and community

We're proud to be part of the Greener Footprints 30 for 2030, a group of sustainable businesses and organisations taking a leading role in the county’s response to the climate emergency. The initiative is part of the Greener Footprints campaign, launched by the Herefordshire Climate and Nature Action Partnership in January 2022. We hope that our choices inspire other businesses and individuals to make better choices for the environment.
