Rise is 2Faced Dance Company's new development programme which aims to offer graduates, trainees, teachers, and professional's opportunities to gain specialist advance level training.
RISE Master Classes
The aim of RISE master classes is to gives you the opportunity to work with different dance practitioners from around the UK who specialise in their field to develop their own skills, through the tutelage of a professional. The objective is to increase the access to professional dance classes in Herefordshire. The master classes are aimed at those who have three years experience in the particular dance style.
RISE Company Classes
2Faced Dance's professional company offers you the chance to participate in company class. The classes are taught by either the Artistic Director or guest choreographer/teachers. The classes are aimed at dancers who are studying or have completed professional dance training. These company classes either take place while 2Faced Dance Company are creating new work in Hereford or on tour.
RISE Work Placements
RISE – Work placements
2Faced Dance offers limited work placements a year. We offer it to students from KS3, KS4, BTEC, A-level, under graduates, post graduates and teacher trainees who are studying dance or dance related subjects.The experience will illustrate how a professional dance company operates by shadowing our different departments; education, marketing, management, and our touring company.
By completing your work placements, you can also gain a bronze, silver or gold Arts awards Qualification through the guidence of 2Faced Dance education department.
All placements are unpaid and are based in Herefordshire.

INSET Days
We are now providing INSET days into your schools as we want to support teachers across the county and nationally so dance is delivered in a creative and confident in the class rooms. The days will offer you new innovative and creative dance techniques in how to integrate dance into the curriculum. By the end of the INSET training days we aim to provide you with the essential training to deliver high quality dance into your own teaching methods.
Were planning to host a dance teacher training conference on a annual basis. This will be hosted at the Courtyard Centre for the Arts and aimed at PE, Dance and Drama teachers across the county. We will invite Guest speakers from outside of Herefordshire who are linked with dance in education at a high level to discuss new ideas and approaches in developing the future of dance in schools. It will allow you to net work with other teachers, dance artists, practitioners, participate in master classes and watch performances.
