FRESH is our annual show for primary, secondary and FE College's in Hereford. Now in its third year FRESH is a partnership between 2Faced Dance and Hereford's arts centre, The Courtyard. The aim of FRESH is three fold
- To provide a dance platform opportunity for schools in Herefordshire
- To offer CPD opportunities to Dance, Drama and PE teachers across the county
- To provide a unique experience for every child in the county so that they may flourish, build confidence and celebrate their creativity
FRESH has been highly successful and has grown dramatically in its first three years. In 2010 we had 10 schools participate and in 2011 we had 15 schools participate, a total of 350 young people. We want to develop FRESH into a renowned schools dance festival for local, national and gain international and make into a high profile dance platforms for schools to be involved in.
2012 see's FRESH slightly differenlty as we are linking it with our Cultural Oympiad final event GLOW dance festival. We have re named it reFRESH and it has a competitive element to it. We are asking schools across Herefordshire to enter our FREE dance competiton where they need to choreograph a 2-3 minute dance film to a selected piece of music the subject being one of the Olympic or Paralympics values. GLOW is going to be the biggest Cultural Olympiad Dance festival in Herefordshire so we suggest your school doesn’t miss out on a high profile schools competition. Need more info?
