Professional Development
The company provides continuing professional development opportunities which run locally, throughout the West Midlands and at various venues up and down the country. Regular classes, workshops, master classes and intensives are open to all professional performers who are looking for diverse and technical training. This unique and particular professional development programme is aimed at professionals or semi-professionals who wish to pursue their training and their understanding of any movement-based discipline. The classes are designed for (the following list is by no means exhaustive) professional dance artists, vocational degree students, circus artists, dance teachers (of any style of dance), physical education teachers, actors and singers interested in developing their movement skills, etc.
Through its own CPD programme, the company is delivering practical and theoretical masterclasses, and intensive workshops. We also promote performances and networking events, as well as providing tips on dance health and fitness. 2Faced Dance Company wish to deliver a high quality regular training to all professional artists based in the West Midlands that is easily accessible.
The weekly classes take place whilst the company is rehearsing in Hereford and are taught by either the Artistic Director Tamsin Fitzgerald, one of the dancers or a guest choreographer/teacher. Contemporary dance, Alexander technique, break dance, gymnastics, improvisation, contact work, ballet, yoga, Pilates, physical theatre, etc are the different disciplines that are delivered to an advanced level and by renowned experts in their fields.
We will be running a number of professional development activities throughout 2013.
These include: An Intensive Week of practice in Birmingham in May, a series of weekend workshops in rural Herefordshire and over 20 Open Company Classes while the company tours the UK.
We are planning events in the following locations: Birmingham, London, Stirling, Bournemouth, Ipswich and many more.
