Susan is currently Head of Costume for Secret Cinema and Future Cinema and designs all of their immersive, interactive events including the recent critically acclaimed Back to the Future. She has Costume Designed many shows at the Royal National Theatre including Detroit, Cesario, Prince of Denmark and More Light. Susan ran the Costume Department at Laban for 5 years and has designed numerous dance pieces; commissions include designs for Lea Anderson and Random Dance. She has also designed costumes for Punchdrunk’s And Darkness Descended, The Big Dance for ITV, and Wayne Sleep’s Big Ballet for ITV2.  In 2014 she designed The Marriage of Figaro for Central City Opera in Colorado.

Recently she worked as part of the Costume Team on Downton Abbey and Dancing on the Edge directed by Stephen Poliakoff. Her international work includes three films shot in Qatar and Dubai. She costumed the first ever theatre production of 1002 Nights in Saudi Arabia in 2013.  Susan read English at Somerville College, Oxford University, and then undertook a postgraduate course in Costume at RADA.
