  • David Wilson

David is Co-Founder/Executive Director at Actorsworkshop LLP. He is also a guest lecturer at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Management & Finance on the Arts Management MA. David completed the Clore Leadership Programme as the 2011/12 Arts Council of Wales Fellow and worked closely with Anthony Sargent at The Sage Gateshead during the Fellowship, developing a new digital initiative for the landmark building throughout 2012.

Originally a professional Actor, David studied Drama followed by Arts Management. In 2001 he co-founded Actorsworkshop LLP and between 2002 and 2007 he worked as the Administrator for the Cardiff International Festival of Musical Theatre. In 2005 he was appointed the Producing and Administrative Director for Moving Being Ltd, managing the Nesta funded Alternating Currents Project at Swansea’s National Waterfront Museum.

In 2007 and 2008 he managed Engaging Cogs’ Wales-based events for Oxford University, consulted for Zoom Cymru (Wales’ young people’s film festival) and conceived/directed a performing arts installation for Reuters in their Canary Wharf headquarters.

David was also the Project Manager at Diversions and in 2008 he was appointed Deputy Director. He coordinated the change of name to National Dance Company Wales and the successful business plan bid for the Investment Review. David is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
