Moves to succeed

Moves To Succeed is a dance programme developed by 2Faced Dance Company and Herefordshire Council. The aim of this programme is to develop and improve children’s behaviour through dance. Moves To Succeed focuses on those children who are at risk of exclusion, have poor attendance or just need to learn some coping strategies for the classroom.

The Moves To Succeed Tool Kit used to support the project and enable teachers from across the UK to get some ideas and tips was launched on the 28th September 2010 at the Arts Supermarket at The Courtyard Centre for the Arts. It consists of identified and achievable dance strategies used within the Moves to Succeed 2010 programme. To get yourself a copy of the toolkit, only £14.99, or book of the Moves To Succeed programme for your school please contact Annie Millen at Herefordshire Council amillen@herefordshire.gov.uk

2Faced Win The BOBBY Award

The Bobby's are Broadway Baby's way to showcase what's best about the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Broadway Baby has resisted launching an award for many years. We wanted to bring something really quite special to the party, and now we think we've cracked it.

bobbyaward

The Bobby trophy is based on the iconic Greyfriar's Bobby, a symbol of Edinburgh and now - we like to think - our Oscar of the Fringe. Oh, and it's purely coincidental that 'Best of Broadway Baby' happens to fit our mascot so nicely...

We're launching one Bobby at a time, and the first is the Sixth Star.

The Sixth Star

The Sixth Star Award is given to the very best of Broadway Baby's five-star shows. Sixth Star shows are truly special - the judging panel may decide to give just a few awards this year, or maybe none at all. Headed by Pete Shaw, producer and Broadway Baby publisher, this year's panel will be looking for shows that stand out from the five-star crowd.

2Faced residency at The Place

2Faced recently taught a weeks residency at the infamous London Contemporary Dance school. Tamsin Fitzgerald, Jake Nwogu and Dan Lowenstein all taught during the week, teaching the participants repertoire from Still Breathing, various choreographic techniques and our fusion of contemporary, breaking and street.
