7.0 - In The Dust

Subterrania - In The Dust

Politicking Oath - In The Dust

Choreographed by

Tamsin Fitzgerald

7.0 is inspired by Fitzgerald’s visit to Haiti a year on after the earthquake. Still in a state of emergency, and surrounded by the un-cleared rubble and dust the piece explores what happens when we live in a state of political, physical and geographical uncertainty. 7.0 questions how we react when everything we take for granted, out homes, communities and social structures are removed and taken from us.

Tom Dale

Subterrania is inspired by the evocative musical world of Shackleton. It paints a picture of a world in immenent doom. The piece creates a new reality, a sense of urgency and a chaotic vitality and toughness. It is the toughness that gives the work its warmth and richnes.

Politicking Oath takes as its starting point the emotion and spirit expressed by the Olympic Oath and National Anthems. In movement random Olympic events create a template for physical language, utilising principle rules and intent that gives an insight into the prowess and complex beings we are.
